Notice to Bidders:
Perry Township Fire Department Building Approach Reconstruction Project, Lima, Ohio
Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Engineer, Core Consulting, Attention Brad J. Core, P.E., P.S., 1660 S. Defiance Trail, Spencerville, Ohio 45887, until 4:00 p.m. Ohio time, June 6, 2017, at which time they will be transported to the Perry Township House, 2408 E. Breese Rd., Lima, Ohio 45806 and at 8:00 p.m. on the same date they will be opened and publicly read aloud. Contractors may bring sealed bids with them to the bid opening at the Perry Township House in lieu of delivering them to the office of the Engineer. Bids will be for the reconstruction of the approach in front of the fire department. A warranty will be required for this project. This is a prevailing wage project.
Plans, specifications and contract bid documents may be obtained electronically from the Engineer by calling 419-647-6163 between 8:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. on weekdays. There is no charge for electronic documents. All questions about the bid package, plans, specifications, bid documents, and/or the bid process shall be forwarded to Brad J. Core, P.E., P.S., Phone/Fax: 419-647-6163.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in accordance with Sections 153.54 and 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must provide evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. The owner intends and requires that this project be started on or about June 19, 2017 and be completed no later than August 4, 2017.
All bids shall be sealed and addressed to Core Consulting, Attention Brad J. Core, 1660 S. Defiance Trail, Spencerville, Ohio 45887 and marked “SEALED BID – PERRY TWP BUILDING APPROACH RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT” on the outside of the envelope. No bidder shall be permitted to withdraw its bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the time of bid opening.
The Perry Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder(s). In no case will a bid be awarded until all necessary investigations are made into the qualifications of the bidder(s) to whom contracts are proposed to be awarded.
